Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data visible in the comment form, as well as the visitor's IP address and browser signature, to aid in spam detection.

An anonymized string created from the commenter's email address (known as a hash) can be passed to the Gravatar service to see if the user is using it. Gravatar's privacy policy can be found at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once a comment is approved, the user's profile picture is publicly visible in the context of the comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Site visitors can download and read location data from images

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you can agree to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This will prevent you from having to fill out the form again when you make future comments. These cookies will be stored for one year.

When you visit the login page, we will set a temporary cookie to verify that your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal information and will be deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, several cookies will be set, storing your login information and screen preferences. The login files are valid for 2 days, the screen options for a year. If you check "Remember me", your login will remain active for 2 weeks. When you log out, the cookies will be deleted.

If you edit or publish an entry, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. It does not contain personal data and expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other sites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). This content behaves as if the user had visited the originating site directly.

These sites may collect data, use cookies, implement third-party tracking, and monitor interactions with embedded content - even when you have an account there and are logged in.

To whom we share data

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we keep the data

Comments and their metadata are stored indefinitely to automatically recognize and approve subsequent comments.

If you register on the site, we store the data you provide in your user profile. Users can view, edit or delete their data (except for changing their username). Site administrators also have access to them.

What rights do you have to your data

If you have an account on this site or have added comments, you can request that your personal data be exported or deleted. This does not apply to data that we need to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons.

Where we send the data

Visitor comments can be checked with an automated spam detection system (such as Akismet).

In accordance with Article 13 (1) and (2) of the RODO, we inform you that:

Data will be processed until you revoke your consent or terminate your use of the services.
