🕳️ Zdzichu and a hole in the schedule
Saved: Thursday, 07:03 am - That is, the day after ... well, after what?
I woke up with a strange premonition. There was still hot coffee in the mug, the radio was playing yesterday's news, and the cat was looking at me as if it was judging me for the second time that day. I enter the treatment plant - empty. Zero people, zero breakdowns, even Halina didn't complain.
- Franek, something strangely quiet today. What day is it? - Wednesday, Zdzichu. After all, you're on duty today.
I look at the schedule on the board. My name is ... but on a different day. There is a "--" on Wednesday. Just a line. As if someone had forgotten or... cut me out of reality.
📅 The day that didn't happen
- Halina, were you there yesterday? - I ask. - Well, of course. You were in great shape. You laughed at the breakdown on the sitopias.
- I wasn't. I mean... I don't remember. - Zdzichu, did you drink something fermented? - No. Only coffee. And probably sleep.
There was also a record of my presence in SCADA: 7:01 a.m. login, 8:55 a.m. level sensor reset, 11:30 a.m. coffee with Halina. But the cup was empty, and I had no idea where yesterday had gone.
🔍 Circumstantial evidence from hell of change
I started looking for evidence:
- Coffee consumption - agreed.
- A note in a notebook - my handwriting, but the slogan: "Do not feed the reactor after 14:00."
- On the table - a receipt from a milk bar. Date: Wednesday. Signature: "Zdzichu".
The cat blinked twice. It was his way of saying: "You should know, but you still won't understand."
🌀 How about... quantum change?
The manager came in, looked at me and said: - Yesterday you did a report on PIX dosing. Even quite sensible. - Me: Zdzichu, maybe you just need a vacation? - Or... an update.
Because the truth is - I didn't remember anything. The day was in the system. In the people. But not in me.
📌 Scion's moral
The moral? Sometimes the work schedule has more gaps than the overflow grid. But if everyone says you were - you were. Even if you weren't there. It's just that the sewers know better.
