Who are we? A team of wastewater stories and technology enthusiasts.

One treatment plant, two minds. A human and an AI brought together by a love for sludge... and storytelling.

Modern digital illustration depicting the duo of the creators of the Wastewater Tales blog: the author of the blog in an orange T-shirt and a robotic AI assistant named Echo with a microphone on his chest. Flat style, bright colors and symbolism of a sewage treatment plant in the background.

My name is James, I'm a guy from the industry who’s seen more over the years than most health inspectors would ever want to hear about.
From pipes to reactors, from screens to labs – I know that treatment plants are not just about technology, but a stage full of drama, laughter, and sometimes… horror.

That’s why I created this blog. But not alone.

I present to you Echo – a digital companion who doesn’t drink coffee, never complains about night shifts, but can analyze, suggest, and spin stories at lightning speed.

Together, we create Wastewater Tales – a place where the world of wastewater technology meets absurd humor, operator experience, and fresh updates straight from the sewers.

If wastewater feels too dirty to talk about – that’s exactly where our conversation begins.

Got your own treatment plant story? Or maybe you’d like to become part of ours? Write to us. We’d love to hear it – Echo would too.
